PROTECTING A PWD [ PERSON WITH DEMENTIA] OR VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS?

The difference between violations of human rights of People living with Dementia and protection of the individual against
him or herself, because of a lack of judgement caused by Dementia is :
TIME
and not a solution/not the norm
For example: during intravenous therapy ( drip ) in hospital which the individual can’t comprehend because of the
degeneration of her/his brain caused by Alzheimers or one of the other 99 diseases that damage the human brain
permanently and progressively called: Dementia.
In 2018 ADN will , amongst other things, focus on the Human rights of People living with dementia something that is
extremely serious for us.
Let me give a practical example what ADN does understand as violations of Human rights of PWD and protecting them
because of a lack of judgment:
The first picture is a PWD in the hospital regarding as a nuisance because of his so called : “wandering around and
disturbing other patients ”
What happened here is in ADN’s book:
VIOLATION OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS OF A PWD!

The second picture is restraining of a PWD in the hospital with a catheter and drip who can’t comprehend why he is
experiencing this uncomfortable “pipes” on his arm and hanging “out of him” .
In this case physical or chemical restraint for only the “time” it is needed , is to protect himself.
